New Fit outs, building internal alterations and building extensions can impact on the buildings current fire protection system or bring new fire protection requirements to the building.
Alterations of fire protection systems included in the NZ building Specified System list will require a Building Consent or an Exemption of Building Consent before the works proceed on site. In this case, you will need to engage a company that can assist your business to point you in the right direction and make sure that your building or the building that your business is moving into it will still be compliant with the NZ Building Code.
