About FFP Nelson Marlborough Fire
For over 25 years FFP Nelson Marlborough Fire have been locally owned and operating at the Top of The South of New Zealand assisting clients with design build, fit outs, alterations and extensions of fire protection systems and with the on-going management of Building Warrants of Fitness.
We have an excellent relationship with the industry inspection bodies, regulators and the local Territory Authorities which gives to our company, and to our clients, access to the right information when they need it.
Kirstin Smith and Thorben Hoffschneider are our company directors and proud owners. Kirstin holds 30 years of experience in the fire protection industry and has strong industry relationships. Kirstin is responsible for the accounts payable and receivable, managing all on-going testing and maintenance contracts, Building Warrants of Fitness and service works at FFP and runs a highly organised administration system within the team. Thorben holds NZQA Level 4 qualifications and has 15 years of experience with fire suppression systems, is currently IQP registered for SS1 and SS6. Thorben also has vast experience in fire alarm systems and passive fire protection. He is responsible for all fire protection design concepts; installation works and certification processes.
We are very proud of our Team which has a can-do and positive attitude. Our Team is made up of a variety of IQP’s, NZQA Level 4 & 3 qualified technicians with professionals offering over 20 years of experience on the installation and maintenance of fire protection systems.
Health and Safety is also very important to FFP as is the wellbeing of our Team. We are a Sitesafe Green Label certified company, and all of our Team members are First-Aid NZQA Level 2, Working at Heights certified and MEWP licensed drivers.
